  • Free zone company allows 100 per cent foreign national ownership of the company with no requirement of local sponsor or local service agent. (UAE National)
  • There are no corporate taxes or there are minimal corporate taxes in Free Zones in Dubai.
  • There are no personal taxes or any kind of taxes in Free Zones if the goods are not imported into Dubai or any other emirates. However, there may be port handling fees etc.
  • Free zones in Dubai offer very minimal paper work and documentation.
  • You could lease a land on a very long term basis for your business requirements in Free zones.
  • You have access to talents (employees) which can be acquired faster and there are minimal interference of Authorities.

    1. Hi, Whether you can claim for 3 months’ salary after being terminated depends on your employment contract and the labor law. Check your contract and consult a legal expert to understand your rights.

    1. Legally you can’t work in mainland. Please request the HR for more clarification on this as it depends on your agreement.

I have work in a free zone company for more than two years But due to personal reasons I need to leave the country immediately my contract says two month notice period to be given and so my company keep saying two months but is there any chance of letting me go earlier through the help of immigration or Labour ministry

    I got a offer in jafza company. This new jafza company said to exit to kish. 3rd of this month i leave uae and i am in kish . Now i talked with them they answered that they have applied on thursday for visa. up to now i am in kish . how many days it will take for approval form emmigration?

  15. Hi, my company want to charge me for my visa expenses, but nowhere in my contract is mentioned that. Do they have the right to do that? i have a free zone visa and the company is register under DMCC. i worked for them 5 months, when i resigned i was still under probation period. Thank you

      Free zone companies can adopt their own rules as they do not come under MOL.
      However, visa costs are not to be recovered from employees.
