Note:
In case of modifying the employee’s profession to work as a doctor, pharmacist, nurse or any other technician involved in medical professions, a letter of approval from the Ministry of Health or medical authorities shall be attached
In case of modifying the employee’s profession to work as a teacher in private schools, a letter of approval issued from the Ministry of Education shall be attached
In case of modifying the employee’s profession to work as a trainer, a training certificate approved by the General Authority of Youth and Sports shall be attached
In case of modifying the employee’s profession to work in nurseries, a letter of approval by the Ministry of Social Affairs shall be attached.
What to do if you Lost or damaged your labour card?
Fill up the application form for a lost/damaged labour card, and submit to Ministry of Labour office. All the employer’s establishments should have been unified as per the ministry’s procedures.
A lost item certificate from the police should be provided for a lost labour card.
What are the documents required for lost and damaged labour cards?
- Passport copy
- Passport size photo with a white background
- Original labour card which is damaged (If the labour card was damaged)
- Police certificate that is certified by the labour inspection department at Ministry of labour (If the labour card was lost)
Can you cancel your labour card?
As per the normal process company PRO needs to visit the Ministry of Labour now called the Ministry of Human Resource and Emiratisation along with the application to cancel the labour card along with the employee’s signature or it can submit the application through online by login to Tas-heel system providing valid credential.
What is the labour card processing time?
In most cases the processing time is 10 days.
Is labour card same as emirates ID?

- Step 1: Visit: https://www.mohre.gov.ae/en/services/enquiry-services.aspx
- Step 2: Go to the Services Menu and drop down and select View Approved Contract
- Step 3: Go to View my contract and choose search by Transaction Number or Personal Details.
If you have chosen for Transaction Number (MB Number)
- Enter your transaction number and passport number
- Add the letters and/or numbers as they appear in the CAPTCHA text box
- Click on View my contract
If you have chosen for Personal details :
- Enter Passport Number
- Enter your Nationality and Date of Birth
- Get a Captcha verification
- Click on view my contract

Step 2: Create an account to get started :
Select User Registration category:
- Employer
- Employee
- Domestic worker sponsor

If you are an employee: Select Employee and Enter your details: Emirates ID / Labour Card Number/Date of Birth and Enter Captcha and select Next. Provide your registered email id and mobile number to receive an activation link. Follow the instructions until you complete the sign up Process.
Step 3: Login to your Account:
Once you received the registration confirmation email or SMS, login to your account on the app by using your user name, password and answering security questions.
Step 4: Click on the dashboard :
To access your complete profile click on the dashboard where you can see the essential information related to your work and residency.

Step 4: Download Labour card or Labour contract:
For Labour card – Select the View Labour Card and for Labour contract click on View Contract . Download and Print.
Note:
- If you are employer you should have the e-signature card to view the employee details
- Free zone and government employees cannot register to MOHRE account
- Domestic workers cannot access to MOHRE labour contract
Here is the amended list of fees related to the issuing of work permit which has announced by UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE). The amended list would come into effect from June 1, 2022.
How much is a work permit cost in UAE?

- Issuing a work permit for juveniles – Dh50
- Temporary work permit – Dh50
- Issuing a part-time work permit – Dh50
- Training permit – Dh50
- Probationary work permit – Dh50
- Issuing a work permit for residency holders – Dh50
- Issuing a work permit for residency holders of freelancers for two years – Dh250
(These fees are for issuing work permits for an individual who holds a valid UAE residency)

If a worker is not in the UAE at the time of application of the work permit, these are the fees that would apply:

Who pays work permit costs?
As per the new UAE Labour Law – Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021 – all recruitment related costs need to be paid for by the employer. This includes the employment visa and work permit costs.
