The Labour card is the identity evidence of the workers in the UAE. It is the responsibility of the licenced company in UAE must register their expat employees with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

The employer must provide the labour card or work permit to its employees within 2 months (60 days) after he or she arrives in the country if not company is liable to pay the fines. The labour card has details like the name of the employee, profession, nationality, phone number, work permit number, the expiry date of the labour card and labour card number.


What is UAE labour contract ?

UAE Labour contract is the legally binding contract that signs between the employer and the employee which is issued by the UAE Ministry of Labour. This contract covers the terms and conditions of the employment and also the legal obligations for the employee and employer.

Normally the Ministry of labour department deals with this procedure, if the employer needs to modify the contract and the salary details in the labour contract employer can visit the ministry of labour and submit the application or can submit the request online by login to Tas -heel system providing the valid credential.

Note:

In case of modifying the employee’s profession to work as a doctor, pharmacist, nurse or any other technician involved in medical professions, a letter of approval from the Ministry of Health or medical authorities shall be attached

In case of modifying the employee’s profession to work as a teacher in private schools, a letter of approval issued from the Ministry of Education shall be attached

In case of modifying the employee’s profession to work as a trainer, a training certificate approved by the General Authority of Youth and Sports shall be attached

In case of modifying the employee’s profession to work in nurseries, a letter of approval by the Ministry of Social Affairs shall be attached.

Is labour card same as emirates ID?
