Here is an update to the Emirates ID deadline. So expats in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai, do not worry!
UPDATE:
The late fee will be applicable for expatriates in Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman, and all expatriates working in the government sector across the country from December 1. The late fee will be applicable for expatriates in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai emirates from February 1, 2012, April 1, 2012 and June 1, 2012Â respectively. But those who renew their visa in these three emirates from January 1 , 2012 have to first apply for ID cards, Al Khoury said.
