How to Check and Track your UAE Visa Application Status, Validity, Expiry Date?

To check the status of your visa in UAE, you have 2 options:

We all had that moment when you applied for visas for your family¬†or our companies applied for the residence visa and the waiting started. You ask your PRO, he says he will check. You are just anxious about whether your visa is processed or not. But don’t be disheartened! There are several ways online and offline facilities by the UAE government where you can check your status of the application or track your family, employment, and visit/tourist visa.

It is very easy to check the status of your Residence Visa Status online through Amer GDRFA and ICA portal.

There are multiple services for which you could check the visa status online:

  • Entry Permit Validity
  • Residence Visa Validity
  • Residence Application Status

Steps to check your visa status, validity and expiry:

Entry permit / Residence visa in Dubai:

If you have an entry permit or residence visa in Dubai, you can check your visa application status or validity through Amer-GDRFA in Dubai.

  • Select Entry Permit or Residence (depending on your visa)
  • Enter the Visa Number (you can find the residence file number on the visa stamped page in your passport)
  • Enter the First Name (English) (must be same as per your passport)
  • Enter Date of Birth (must be in dd/mm/yyyy format)
  • Check the box “I am not Robot”

If you have provided all the details accurately you will be able to find the search result as below :

Check the status of Entry permit and Residence visa in Other Emirates UAE including Dubai:

If you have an entry permit or residence visa in other emirates Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, including Dubai you can check your visa application status or the validity on the website of Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship- ICA (the eChannel for residency and citizenship)

Step 1:

You can search the details by your visa number or the passport information

File No Or Passport Information

If you select File No : below steps to be followed:

Step 2:

Select the visa type

Residency (if you want to know the residence visa status) or Visa

Step 3:

Enter the details:

Emirates Unified Number

or

File No

Step 4:

Enter the Nationality from the drop down list

Step 5:

Select the Date of Birth (must be in dd/mm/yyyy format)

Step 6:

Check the box “I am not Robot”

Search

In case If you wish to search the details by clicking Passport No : below steps to be followed:

Step 2:

Select the visa type

Residency (if you want to know the residence visa status)

or

Visa

Step 3:

Enter your Passport No

Enter your Passport Expiry Date

Step 4:

Select the Nationality from the dropdown list

Step 5:

Check the box “I am not Robot”

Search

You will be able to find the file information :

File status

File Issuance Date

File Expiry Date

Tracking your Visa Application:

If your visa is applied in Dubai through Amer centres in Dubai, you can track your visa application through General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (Vision eForm.)

In order to track your application through eform you need to have the below details with your ready:

  • application number
  • transaction number
  • reference number

If your visa is applied in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah you can track your visa application on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship- ICA (the eChannel for residency and citizenship).
