There are 2 methods where you can check the UAE visa validity online :

  1. Through GDFRA website (General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA)
  2. Through ICP website (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP)

1. Checking the Visa Validity through General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai

If you have an entry permit or residence visa issued in Dubai, you can check your visa validity through the website of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai, by following these steps:

  1. Visit https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae/Public_Th/StatusInquiry_New.aspxOpens in a new tab.
  2. Select whether you want to search for your visa validity through Application number, File number, over the counter service application , Special requests or as an establishment
  3. Depending on the option you selected provide the information needed.
  4. Check the Captcha verification box
  5. Click on Search

2. Checking the Visa Validity through Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP):

If you have a UAE visit or residence visa issued from any of the following emirates – Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, you can check your visa validity on the website of Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), by following these steps:

  1. Visit the link: https://smartservices.icp.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/default.html#/fileValidityOpens in a new tab.
  2. Select whether you want to search for your visa’s validity through a file number or passport information
  3. If you are on a residence visa then select the option ‘residency’ and if you are on visit visa select option ‘visa’
  4. Enter any of the following details
    1. Emirates Unified Number (UID number)
    2. File number you can find the file number on the visa stamp on your passport or on the e-visa received as a visitor
    3. Emirates ID number (only in case of residency visa holder)
  5. Enter your Date of Birth
  6. Check the Captcha verification box
  7. Click on Search
