Sunday June 17th 2012 will be a Public Holiday in the UAE to mark Al Isra Wal Miraj – the ascension of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as announced by Arabian Radio Network News Centre. This means that the residents will have a longer weekend with continuous 3 day holidays. However, essential industries such as hospitals, clinics, hotels will be open to serve the public.
