RTA announces NOL Special design cards RTA(Roads and Transport Authority), has announced the introduction of new NOL cards with special designs. This will allow you to get a NOL cards designed to fit your personality. It would mean that if you choose to go for the new design NOL cards, you can select an image or design that fits your personality. Uses of NOL cards Besides paying for your metro journey, NOL cards can be used for paying bus journeys, Water bus and parking meters(I mostly use this!). RTA is also looking at collecting taxi payments through NOL cards in the future. How to get new NOL special designed cards? All you need to do is the following steps: Go to www.nol.ae. The link is at the bottom of the page. Or Click here. Choose the appropriate card and image that defines you. Fill out the form and pay online. You will receive an SMS which will confirm your application. Now, wait for the card delivery which should reach you within 10-15 days. From what I gather, the special design NOL cards will have some of Dubai's great landmarks like Clock Roundabout, Sheikh Zayed Road, Burj Khalifa.
