Skydive Dubai: A Bucket List Must-Do

Dubai is known for offering some of the most extravagant experiences in the world, including unique and larger-than-life attractions that take you to new heights. let’s talk about one of the most thrilling experiences you can have in Skydive Dubai. If you are a thrill-seeker, skydiving is a popular and exhilarating experience that allows you to soar above the city’s stunning skyline.

If you’re planning to try skydiving in Dubai but aren’t sure what to expect, this guide has all the information you need to know about Skydive Dubai. SKY dive Dubai is located in the heart of Dubai, in the Dubai Marina area.

Skydive Dubai was established in 2010 by His Excellency Nasser Al Neyadi and has since become popular skydiving destination in the world. Skydive Dubai currently has two dropzones: the Palm DZ located within the emirate and the Desert DZ located approximately 35 km outside Dubai.

For those seeking a high-speed free fall experience, the Desert DZ is the place to be, allowing you to reach speeds of up to 120 miles per hour.

The facility offers tandem skydiving, as well as advanced training programs for experienced skydivers. The Tandem skydiving experience in Dubai is the quickest way to check off skydiving from your bucket list, with the entire process taking around three hours. The experience consists of four crucial steps.

Once you arrive at the venue, you’ll register and complete necessary forms. Next, you’ll receive a safety briefing and get strapped into your harness. After a pre-boarding safety check, you’ll board the plane and ascend to 13,000 feet, taking in breathtaking views. During the jump, you’ll freefall for 60 seconds, during which you’ll reach speeds of up to 120 miles per hour followed by a 4-5 minute parachute ride. After landing, you’ll be interviewed by the cameraman and escorted back to the main building to relax at the café and wait for your photos and video.

The jumps take place over the beautiful Palm Jumeirah island and offer stunning views of the city and the Persian Gulf.

For those who want to experience the thrill of flying without jumping out of a plane, the Skyhub Gyrocopter is also available flying above some of Dubai’s well-known attractions.

Skydive Dubai provides licensed skydivers with the opportunity to freefall at both of its dropzones. To skydive at the Palm Dropzone, a USPA D-licence or its equivalent with a minimum of 1,000 logged skydives is required.

The Desert Dropzone is one of the largest skydiving schools globally and offers the AFF (Accelerated Freefall) Course for those who want to learn how to be a solo skydiver.

Completing the AFF course, which includes ground school training, a minimum of seven skydives, and 15 minutes of tunnel time, leads to the USPA A licence, an internationally recognized certification that permits solo skydiving at designated dropzones worldwide. With a USPA A licence, skydivers can jump at dropzones worldwide without supervision and even jump with other licence holders. The cost breakdown of the skydiving course is available for those interested.

While skydiving might not be suitable for everyone, there are plenty of other things to enjoy at SKY dive Dubai. For kids, there’s a playground and a zip line, as well as a simulator that lets them experience the thrill of skydiving without actually jumping. Couples can enjoy a romantic dinner at the in-house restaurant, or take a sunset yacht cruise around the Dubai Marina. Older people can also take advantage of the restaurant and other facilities, and enjoy the stunning views of the city from the ground.
